Occasionally a coffee we buy is Fair Trade but most speciality grade coffees aren&#x2019;t Fair Trade certified. This is because they are sold at such a high premium that Fair Trade certification isn&#x2019;t needed. With our current coffee, for example, the farmer is paid 280 cts/lbs and the Fair Trade price is 180 cts/lbs. So we pay 55% more than the Fair Trade price guarantees.</p><p style=" text-decoration: none;">It&#x2019;s important to us that everyone in our supply chain is well looked after, including the planet. Because there&#x2019;s no point in trying to improve our customers health at the detriment of our suppliers!</p>
