Yes, definitely. One of coffee’s healthiest compounds, chlorogenic acid, degrades from the point of roasting, some say at a rate of c. 20% a month. Only buy coffee that you know has been freshly roasted. Aside from this, after a couple of months coffee has lost a lot of its delicious flavour and around 4-6 months after roasting, it starts to stale. Here is our storage guide.
